USING INSTAGRAM TO ENGAGE MORE SALES & BE A FEARLESS SIDE-HUSTLER!

Do you ever look at Instagram and feel like everyone else is better at it? They’re all using the most beautiful photos, travelling pics, food inspo, the best in fashion and makeup and you’re thinking, ugh I can’t do that? I haven’t got what it takes!

Well, listen here! I have 4 SIMPLE TIPS to get you to show up for yourself, and the real souls that hear you. I can be so undone in my approach but I did it so, you can too!

I will be the first to tell you that I am a self-proclaimed Instagram non-expert but I want to share with you the results from my hustle experiences. You will quickly learn how to align with your tribe and potential tribe members out there.

BE IN THE MOMENT TO TRULY ENGAGE.

TIP 1: RAISE THEM ORGANIC

It is all well and true that us side-hustlers are time-conscious. This means that we might see it in our best interest to use a scheduling app to post. But I say, post when you want to! Post when you are in the moment. Post when you are aligned with yourself and your message. Post when you are in the zone.

To truly engage is to connect with the moment, your message and your people. Unapologetically be yourself. This is what I mean to be organic. Let them see who you are, when you are, how you are.

DON’T MAKE THEM HAVE TO WORK FOR IT.

TIP 2: LEAD THEM TO FEED

Now, this one is a really cool strategy to have; set up a little string to lead your viewers to your content. Through my Insta learnings, I noticed that some Instagram followers will only watch my stories and some will only wait for a post so, let’s make it easy. Why make them work for it?

You are the side-hustler who knows what you’re doing and these are your people who love what you’re doing. Create an appealing link between your stories and your posts to nudge the viewer to either your story, your live, your feed or your service on offer.

TIP 3: BRING THEM TO MARKET

Social Selling is fantastic tool to help direct your energy. This is not about closing deals, it is about building your relationships by showing your viewers that you have been listening to what their problems are.

Use Instagram stories like a mini-blog. Guide your stories with a prompt for interaction by asking a question or opinion like “send me a message if you feel the same way.” Instagram has amazing features to hype up interactions with buttons for voting, polls, ask a question etc. With the information you gather from these interactions you can then organically lead your listeners to the right product, package or service on your site that will aid their problem.

YOU ARE YOUR BELIEFS

Know that your purpose is worthy of a huge stage.

TIP 4: SHOW THEM YOU’RE HUMAN

You might be scared of going live on Instagram but don’t be, it’s incredible! As in Tip 1, show up in your time and think of it as a casual space to send your message. You can even present your message unannounced. This tip is so exciting because you never know who is going to hear and be touched by your message in the live moment with you.

Add value to those who are passionately following you by keeping it real and being the great human that you are. It does not need to be scripted or perfect but it does need to be approachable and authentic.
